Tomáš Řízek /湯瑪士．瑞杰可/ – illustrator, designer, painter
He was born in Prague, Czech republic.
His artistic expression was formed under the guidance of Jaroslav J. Králík, Czech painter and graphic designer, and influenced by copying old master paintings. Later he was attracted by the illustrations for kids and teenagers and he shifted his main interest there.
He co-operated with many publishing houses for example with ACME Cultural Enterprise Co. Ltd., Taiwan Grimm Press, Bohem Press, Gründ, Albatros Media and Mi:Lù Publishing
He has won several major awards: "Italian Hans Christian Andersen Prize," "Golden Ribbon", SUK, "Oshima museum of picture book"
His work is represented in private collections in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, China and Taiwan.
